From aLi as well…I’d cried..

Posted by petermaw in Uncategorized

After 21 years of marriage, my wife wanted me to take another woman out to dinner and a movie. She said I love you but I know this other woman loves you and would love to spend some time with you.

The
other woman that my wife wanted me to visit was my MOTHER, who has been
a widow for 19 years, but the demands of my work and my three children
had made it possible to visit her only occasionally.

That night I called to invite her to go out for dinner and a movie.

“What’s wrong, are you well,” she asked?

My mother is the type of woman who suspects that a late night call or a surprise invitation is a sign of bad news.

“I thought that it would be pleasant to be with you,” I responded.

“Just the two of us.”

She thought about it for a moment, and then said, “I would like that very much.”

That Friday after work, as I drove over to pick her up.

I was a bit nervous.

When I arrived at her house, I noticed that she, too, seemed to be nervous about our date.

She waited in the door with her coat on.

She had curled her hair and was wearing the dress that she had worn to celebrate her last wedding anniversary.

She smiled from a face that was as radiant as an angel’s.

“I told my friends that I was going to go out with my son, and they were impressed, “she said, as she got into the car.

“They can’t wait to hear about our meeting”.

We went to a restaurant that, although not elegant, was very nice and cozy.

My mother took my arm as if she were the First Lady.

After we sat down, I had to read the menu.

Large print.

Half way through the entries, I lifted my eyes and saw Mom sitting there staring at me.

A nostalgic smile was on her lips.

“It was I who used to have to read the menu when you were small,” she said.

“Then it’s time that you relax and let me return the favour,” I responded.

During
the dinner, we had an agreeable conversation - nothing extraordinary,
but catching up on recent events of each other’s life.

We talked so much that we missed the movie.

As we arrived at her house later, she said, “I’ll go out with you again, but only if you let me invite you.” I agreed.

“How was your dinner date?” asked my wife when I got home.

“Very nice. Much more so than I could have imagined,” I answered.

A few days later, my mother died of a massive heart attack.

It happened so suddenly that I did to do anything for her.

Some time later, I received an envelope with a copy of a restaurant receipt from the same place mother and I had dined.

An
attached note said: “I paid this bill in advance. Iwasn’t sure that I
could be there; but nevertheless, I paid for two plates - one for you
and the other for your wife. You will never know what that night meant
for me. I love you, son.”

At
that moment, I understood the importance of saying in time: “I LOVE
YOU!” and to give our loved ones the time that they deserve.

Nothing in life is more important than God and your family.

Give them the time they deserve, because these things cannot be put off till “some other time.

Pass this along to everyone with an aging parent, to a child, to an adult, to anyone with a parent.

Here’s hoping today is better than yesterday and tomorrow.

Challenge ur life#

Posted by petermaw in Uncategorized

Going through aLi’s page, this sentences was amuze me a lot

"
The Benefits of a Challenge:
The more intelligent, persistent and competent you are, the more you enjoy a good problem.
If your challenges are the correct size, and if you are steadily conquering those challenges, you are happy.
You think of your challenges and get energized.
You are excited to try new solutions.
You are alive!

Recommendations:
Instead of avoiding challenges, jump into them.
Beat the heck out of them. Enjoy the game.
If your challenges are too large or too numerous, do not give up.
Failing makes you tired. Instead, reorganize.
Find more determination, more knowledge, more help.
If you have met your goals, set some bigger goals.
Once you meet your personal or family needs, move onto goals for your group, the society, even mankind.

Haha..finally got some time sitting in front of my computer, doing something I usually done (which I think so~).

Arrrr~!!, wat a tiring months, even now my hand is still shaking when writing this blog (the effect of "over tied", HehEHeee..swt), really feel can’t used to it lar…this is not rite!…but!! after consider for a while..I think most of the people really have to go through this kind of experience kua…at least! once in the life time kua…takan so good luck?

Okok, finishing my "complain", now talking bout other things (at least it wasn’t a complain!). Well, nothing much to talk bout actually, err…oh yeah! Just a month ago (Chinese new year!) I was in Genting for a trip of 2days (only?) haha!!! and it was FUN man!! we when there actually at the night of the reunion..(after taking dinner with family of course, I’m not that "jahat" ok~), when reaching the mount of genting, wow…I can look straight into KL ler…what a nice night view! Keng!!(means good!!), than we reach top around 5am, of course, can’t check in until 10am, wat to do? going gamling lar..!!!Haha…no lar…walkx2 onli, not really gamble 1…I’m a good guy u know…:P ..well, there’s a fren with the experience (a lot) with this kind of place, we have reach the "important" place at the time, fu-yoh! nicex2!!! HahaHa…my fren said 1…coz tangan gatai…HeheeHE..for me, boring…coz nothing 2 do there, so after a few hours of so call gamble there, we went for a breakfast, err…nothing to eat early ler…soo..KFC lor! Hahaha…go inside, so quite, fastx2 eat, fastx2 go…HeHeheee…nothing special there (except there’s a group of gal sitting there with us..^^). Than later around 10am we reach the counter for check in, wait until 11am, go into our room masingx2…than meetup at lobby around 2pm ALREADY!! wah…ma no time play liao lor…so, fastx2 go theme park..play few games, night time go out walkx2 AGAIN…with no destination mentioned (like siao lang)..than reach room around 3am…zzZZZ.

2molo morning 9am go for a breakfast, than take some photo…(coz a lot of shops there hire a group of "wu si" dunno how to call 舞狮) so after that, packing our bag at the time of 11am…bus waiting time…so fast going back d.
